It all begins with an idea of great food, and a little love of Guinness….

Originally from Ireland, we have always had a passion for a good pub filled with a good atmosphere, great stories, delicious food and even better beer. That’s why we decided to bring a little bit of Ireland to Diamond Valley!

After almost twenty years in Canada, despite all the places we’ve visited, we were yet to find the true, authentic feeling of an Irish Pub. That warm welcome as you walk through the door, the smell of delicious food wafting through the air and of course, a good pint of Guinness waiting at the bar. So we asked the community their thoughts and promptly got to work creating your very own home away from home. Join us on our journey as we continue to bring this idea to fruition!

Hi everybody - we are just giving you a quick update with regard to the arrival of the VLT machines and what is going forward with the pub. 

We have had our AHS inspection and our AGLC inspection so as of now? Once machines are available they will be installed.  

Important: In consultation with both AGLC and AHS we are going to temporarily shift to an adults only venue. We know that a few of our patrons liked to bring children but for the time being? Regretfully this will have to be paused. Fur kids will still be welcomed on the patio.  This is only in the interim and will be evaluated as soon as possible

To make this up to our patrons we have decided to upgrade your culinary experience. With the popularity and success of our food selection and menu? We are pleased to announce that we have been offered the opportunity to franchise out the kitchen to a locally owned and operated catering company called ‘The Iron and Ladle’. You will still see some of your favourite chefs in our kitchen with the added bonus of not having to adjust hours due to lack of personnel. 

We are planning to adjust our hours based on feedback that we should be opened later. We listened and this will be happening as of September 1 when the transfer to the franchise will be in effect. We anticipated that opening hours will both be starting later and finishing later as per multiple and ongoing requests for food options at 8/9pm. 

We ask that you bear with us during the transfer as we will have to run our own stock down to zero before The Iron and Ladle can replenish. 

Unfortunately due to health and safety we cannot transfer stock as it must all be supply validated. We have never failed an AHS inspection due to stringent practices and we intend for The Iron and Ladle to have the best start possible.  We want our customers to be confident with freshness and quality control. 

We look forward to the improvement on catering and food for you all but rest assured the menu that you currently enjoy will be added to. The Iron and Ladle will be increasing the menu with some of your previous favourites and a few surprises. To name a few? The best wings, fish ‘n’ chips and Mother Ireland burger in the area will still be available. Watch this space!
